Solar Heat Control: Parkland™ Genuine
Woods wood blinds reduce the amount
of solar heat that passes through the
window, which is known as the Solar
Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC). The lower
the SHGC, the protected your home is
from the sun’s heat in the summer.

Daylighting: Parkland Genuine Woods
wood blinds allow you to control how
much natural light comes into a room.
You can also direct light where it’s
needed most by adjusting the slats. By
drawing natural light into a room,
Parkland Genuine Woods wood blinds
reduce your energy needs for electrical
lighting.

Note: For optimal solar heat control,
choose white or light coloured blinds and
keep the slats in the closed position to
block heat, or opened to allow it in to
warm a room. For optimal daylighting,
